Rotwall

Your colony has traveled for months through blistering deserts and toxic wastelands. Food and water stores are running perilously low, along with your colony’s remaining hope. At the day’s first light, your scouts return with news of river not far from the camp. As this world would have it, the current is tainted with badwater. The colony has no choice but to accept what fate has given them. Your beavers follow the tainted river upstream and enter a canyon with steep and jagged sides covered in lifeless, rotting trees and settle a strip of land under a waterfall where good fortune has left enough fertile soil for crops to be sowed. With unwavering determination, your colony sets to work, ready to dam the toxic flow, clear the waste, and forge a new home in this place they have named Rotwall. Author’s note: Inspired by the Badwater Ridge map. My hope with this map is to provide an early and mid-game challenge with the tainted rivers, similar to Badwater Ridge, although slightly more difficult. The goal is to cap off or divert the badwater sources and return the river to a pure state, making survival easier the further you get into the game. Badtide is especially unforgiving on this map, so be sure to stock up on supplies. I’m open to suggestions, so please let me know in the comments if there’s anything you think should be changed. I hope you enjoy the map! Map size: 256x256
