Kitan Multiplayer (1-4 Players)

A Hexagonal island map inspired by The Settlers of Catan. There is also a Singleplayer Version of this map. Lore Long ago, before the great droughts grew so unforgiving, a brave expedition of young kits and veteran engineers set sail across the wasteland in search of a legendary archipelago. They soon found themselves at the shores of Kitan. It is a strange, mathematically perfect landmass made of giant, resource-rich hexagonal islands. No one knows who or what shaped the earth this way, but the beavers knew one thing: this was their new home. Now, to survive the coming dry seasons, they must settle the islands, rebuild ancient ports, and master the unique terrain. Hopefully, they don't roll any sevens anytime soon. Map Contents This map contains many tiles adapted from the Catan board: - 4 Wood Tiles - 4 'Sheep' (Pasture) Tiles: Covered with bushes. "what even is a sheep?" - some beaver, probably. - 4 'Wheat' Tiles: Featuring reserve food stores, though heavily guarded by thick thorns. - 3 Mountain Tiles: Each containing its own unique structural features and secrets. - 2 Clay Tiles: Excavation sites filled with a varied mix of useful resources. - Unique Tiles: A lush Grove tile and a dangerous, badwater-spewing Volcano tile. I've heard the volcano becomes more unstable during badtides... Size The map is 128x128. In retrospect I could have done a lot more around the edges with a larger size, but I also like that it keeps the main board as the focus. Starting Locations - Player 1: You begin your settlement on a resource-rich forest tile. From there, you have easy, immediate access to both a sheep and a wheat tile, giving you the perfect foothold to not starve. - Player 2: You start on a wheat tile with a bridge connecting you to a forest tile as well. You're so close to getting some berries to eat, but until you can get a staircase, you'll need to survive on the reserve warehouse food. - Player 3: A very safe looking sheep/berry is when you start, with the ability t
