The Awakening (What this mod does): This mod awakens the primal instincts dormant in your colony's DNA. Beavers have finally remembered how to navigate directly between natural land and water without requiring stairs. Version 2. 1. 0: Beavers got smarter and will not dive into contaminated water. They became brilliant engineers, architects, and scientists. But in their relentless pursuit of human technology, the beavers adopted a tragic human flaw: they forgot how to be beavers. By mimicking the rigid, grid-based thinking of their predecessors, Folktails and Iron Teeth alike developed a strange psychological block. They began to believe that to enter a river, one must use a designated, OSHA-compliant wooden staircase. A beaver standing on a gentle dirt slope right next to a refreshing stream would simply stare at the water, paralyzed, waiting for a builder to arrive with pine planks. They had forgotten the ancient, ancestral art of simply sliding down the mud into the water. Seamless Shorelines: Beavers can now slip into the water directly from natural terrain ledges and pull themselves back up onto the muddy banks. Configurable Instincts: By default, they can navigate a maximum terrain height difference of 0. 5 meters into the water. You can adjust this physical limit in the BeaversForReal.txt config file.
