Greenfold Basin

This 256×256 map offers a generous and forgiving starting area, making it well suited for relaxed playthroughs, experimentation, or newer players learning large-scale water management. Wide valleys, layered plateaus, and gently winding river paths provide ample room for early growth while still rewarding thoughtful expansion and vertical planning. The terrain is highly varied, with multiple elevation levels that naturally guide water flow and encourage creative dam, levee, and reservoir designs. Fertile land is plentiful near the starting region, allowing for a stable food and log economy early on, while higher plateaus and enclosed basins offer clear opportunities for long-term projects and late-game optimization. Although the start is relatively easy, the map’s size and topography leave plenty of room for ambitious builds, large districts, and advanced water-control systems. Both Folktails and Iron Teeth should feel at home here, with no faction-specific restrictions.
