📋 About This Mod
For generations, the dam stood as a monument to beaver ingenuity, holding back corrupted water. Deep within its foundations lie unstable cores — silent, hidden, and waiting. When they fail, the release is sudden, unstoppable, and far larger than it first appears. This is not a map for first-time Timberborn players. Built using Timberborn 1. 0’s latest mechanics, this scenario features delayed badwater sources and hidden unstable cores that trigger a catastrophic dam failure mid-game. When the dam breaks, the sheer volume of stored badwater creates a genuine “oh no” moment - everything you thought you’d prepared for suddenly feels very small. Early on, you’re given generous starting resources, making the map playable for both Folktails and Iron Teeth. But space is tight, metal becomes scarce quickly, and every building decision matters. As the game progresses, the real challenge emerges: all water is forced toward the centre of the map, directly into your settlement. Your colony becomes the plug hole. On Hard mode, this map is a serious test. I’ve been wiped out more than once during playtesting - but it is beatable with careful planning, fast reactions, and a willingness to rethink everything when the dam finally goes. You’ll face difficult choices: Do you try to block or redirect the river, gambling on precise engineering? Or do you abandon the lowlands and escape to higher ground, sacrificing efficiency to survive? There is no perfect solution -only trade-offs. This is my first Timberborn map, and I’m very much looking for ideas, suggestions, and constructive feedback to help make it the best version it can be. If something feels unfair, unclear, or just interesting, I’d genuinely love to hear about it. This map is about pressure, scale, and the moment you realise just how much water has been waiting behind that wall all along. If you enjoy disaster scenarios, late-game stress, and engineering problems that fight back, this one’s for you.
