Persistent Scanner - Size Matters Edition

Update: As of April 13, 2022, this mod is no longer necessary as Scanners now retain progress on their own. The mod will be left up for the sake of posterity and has opted out of the rewards system.

A version of Persistent Scanner that adds a similar implementation to Bio Scanner - Size Matters.

Ever feel like scanning was flaky at best? Ever try to scan a creature while it and a few dozen of its neighbors are chasing you down? This mod will make this a lot less annoying!

Persistent Scanner allows the scanner to keep track of the scanning progress while it's being used. This means you can start scanning something, lose focus of it for a fraction of a second, and return to scanning it without resetting your progress. This works on an individual level for every creature and is reset when you stop scanning.

Not compatible with other mods that change the scanner.

Installation:

Copy the zip to your game installation's `packs` folder. (e.g. `SteamDir/steamapps/common/Riftbreaker/packs/`)

The main differences between this mod and Size Matters is:

In Size Matters, the scan time is capped to 1x the base scan time and the reward is uncapped.

Here, the scan reward is capped and the scan time is calculated based on that, allowing it to exceed 1x.

I believe this makes the mod more balanced and more consistent. Here is a table of the reward values and their associated scan speed.
