Simple Mod Tool

Description:

A fast and automated modding utility for The Outlast Trials that brings together all the essential tools you need for modding in one place.

Disclaimer:

The application is still in early development, so its functionality is currently limited. At the moment, the app only allows you to replace Texture2D and in-game text (.locres files) with your own. Essentially, it is similar to FModel (which is typically used for viewing .pak files), but with the added ability to modify them.

A full release is planned for July–August. It will feature:

Installation Instructions:

Download one of the two file versions from any of the following platforms:

Each platform contains two versions of the file:

• []SFX archive (self-extracting archive): A single .exe file that you can download and run immediately. However, antiviruses tend to flag these types of archives, so you will likely need to whitelist this file.[/]

  []Standard .rar archive: Download the .rar archive and extract the "Release" folder to any location on your PC.[/]

In short, use the SFX archive if you prefer the convenience of a single clean file and don't mind the antivirus warnings. If you'd rather avoid that, the .rar archive is always available.
