Coyle Imposter Weapon Swap

THIS IS PROBABLY NOT WORKING ANYMORE AND IM NOT PLANNING TO UPDATE

Coyle Imposter Weapon Swap is a visual mod for The Outlast Trials that turns the Imposter's knife into Coyle's electric baton.

The mod also changes the Imposter knife hit effects into Coyle-themed electrical effects:

• []Slash / impact hits use Coyle baton electric arc effects.[/]

  []Stab hits use a larger Coyle electrical explosion effect.[/]

This is a cosmetic swap only. It does not change damage, range, attack speed, hitboxes, matchmaking, player stats, AI behavior, or progression.

What It Changes

• []Replaces the Imposter knife mesh with Coyle's weapon.[/]

  []Replaces knife impact VFX with blue electric Coyle-style effects.[/]

  []Works on the first-person Imposter weapon in Invasion PvP.[/]

  []Also affects the NPC Imposter weapon because the game uses the same underlying asset path.[/]

Files Included

Z_WS_mesh_CoyleWeapon_P.pak Z_WS_vfx_VFX_CoyleUltimate_P.pak ZZZ_WS_audio_CoyleSoundSafeNoMiss_PAll files are recommended for the full intended look/sound.

Installation

• []Close The Outlast Trials.[/]

  []Extract the downloaded .zip.[/]

  []Copy both .pak files into:[/]

  ...\The Outlast Trials\OPP\Content\Paks\Steam default example:

  D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Outlast Trials\OPP\Content\Paks\

  • []Launch the game.[/]

  Uninstallation

  Delete these files from the game's Paks folder:

  Z_WS_mesh_CoyleWeapon_P.pak Z_WS_vfx_VFX_CoyleUltimate_P.pak ZZZ_WS_audio_CoyleSoundSafeNoMiss_PCompatibility

  This mod will conflict with other mods that replace the same Imposter knife mesh or knife hit VFX.

  Likely conflicts:

    []Other mods that change knife slash, stab, blood, or impact VFX.[/]

  It should be compatible with unrelated UI, audio, lobby, reshade, and cosmetic mods that do not override the same assets.
