Scope A Dope

Alters scope values on some weapons to be more useful and actually zoom. Here are the changes made:

I adjusted the FOV values on a bunch of optics for weapons to make them more viable for shooters of all range preferences.  You are no longer tied to a non-unique sniper rifle who's strongest optic is 2. 5X (the same enhancement as a bookstore magnifying glass, or an AR/BR reflex sight with any magnification at all).  I made the zoom values moderate so that they'll have a big effect on gameplay, but regular optics won't outshine The Simplifier such that it's gimmick is still better.  I did not make any changes to pistols, shotguns, or machine guns because those weapons should stay close range, and big magnification scopes on those just seems silly.

Progression changes:

Note that the arrows show progress from one scope to the next up in power and the modified section shows how each was upgraded in zoom power. For example, the weakest optic on a sniper rifle has a 1. 25x zoom by default, but this mod would increase that to 2. 00x.  The strongest optic on a sniper rifle would be 2. 5x by default, and this mod would increase that value to 12x.

Submachine Guns

Default: 1. 5 --> 2 

Modified: 2. 0 --> 3

Assault Rifles (Standard)

Default: 1. 5 --> 2 

Modified: 2. 5 --> 5

Assault Rifles (Mobility)

Default: 1. 25 --> 1. 75 

Modified: 2. 00 --> 3. 00

Assault Rifles (Longburst)

Default: 2. 0 --> 2. 5 

Modified: 3. 0 --> 8

Marksman Rifle (Tactical)

Default: 1. 25 --> 1. 5 --> 2

Modified: 1. 25 --> 2. 0 --> 4

Marksman Rifle (Standard)

Default: 1. 5 --> 2. 5 

Modified: 3. 0 --> 8

Sniper Rifles

Default: 1. 25 --> 1. 5 --> 2. 5 

Modified: 2. 00 --> 4. 0 --> 12

Additional Notes:

I couldn't modify the tooltips for each scope to updated values, since those descriptions are standardized and changing them will change the wording for all weapons and not just the ones modified, so just take them as a general indicator of higher or lower power rather than the actual zoom multiplier. Also, I tried to make all the values sensible and functional to the purpose of each weapon, but I'm sure not everyone will be happy with how some play out, so I'm including asset files so people can adjust to their personal preference. The value to edit is the "AimingFOVMagnification" in the "SightData" section of the exports.

There will be some screenshots to show the difference, but only the higher power levels are going to be really noticeable outside of gameplay.

How to install:

Extract ScopeAdope.rar to the root folder of the game (for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Outer Worlds 2\ or equivalent for gamepass users)

How to uninstall:

Delete ScopeAdope_P.pak,.ucas and .utoc from the ~mods folder (for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Outer Worlds
