📋 About This Mod
This mod compresses story cutscenes, tutorials, ads, intro videos which in original form take up 3,69 gigabytes. Thanks to this mod, the movies folder will be compressed to 1,13 gigabytes.
This mod is created for saving disk space, primarily for those who play on small SSDs or HDDs, steam deck or other portable consoles. In general, where every gigabyte is important. My goal is to compress video files so that they are as small as possible while still maintaining the original quality. Without changing the video resolution or frames per second.
Re-encoded intro videos, story cutscenes, briefing videos, tutorials and skills videos.
I made this for myself and decided to share it with those who are not satisfied with a big bloated files.
Installation:
Backup Movies folder in Arkansas/Content/Movies, in case you decide to revert back.
Unzip The Outer Worlds 2 Recoded Movies.zip to the root game folder, with overwrite.
Example: C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/TheOuterWorlds2
