Stay in the fight — your snacks handle the healing.

In the base game you pause, open the inventory, and eat by hand every time you take a beating. This mod watches your health and automatically consumes food from your pack to restore you, so combat stays flowing and exploration stays smooth.

What you get

• []Auto-heal with food — when health is low, food in your inventory is used to restore you[/]

  []Works in combat — no need to leave the fight just to eat[/]

  []Food only — uses nourishment items, not inhalers or other medical tools[/]

  []Safe when downed — stays out of the way while you are downed or dead, then resumes after you get back up (including trauma-kit revives)[/]

  []Does not change enemy damage, AI, or loot — only how you spend the food you already carry[/]

  Requirements

  You need a working UE4SS install for The Outer Worlds 2 (same setup used by other Lua mods). Keep some food in your inventory — the mod has nothing to eat if your pack is empty.

  Install

  • []Install UE4SS for The Outer Worlds 2 if you do not already have it.[/]

    []Close the game.[/]

    []Copy the AutoEatFood folder into Arkansas\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\[/]

    []Confirm AutoEatFood\enabled.txt is present (and enable the mod in mods.txt / mods.json if you use those).[/]

    []Launch and play — take a bit of damage with food in your pack to confirm healing.[/]

    Uninstall

    Delete the AutoEatFood folder from ue4ss\Mods\ (and disable its line in mods.txt if present).
