The Last Of Us Rotten Revenge

Alright, if you’ve made it this far, it means you’re looking for aggressive visual changes, so I prepared both SDR and HDR versions.

HDR users won’t be left disappointed, and players with weaker displays or those not using HDR get a dedicated SDR version.

Both versions are split into Performance modes, where I aggressively cut down effects to keep only subtle improvements to contrast, sharpness, and color.

Performance versions contain only sharpening, contrast, and color adjustments. To achieve this, I created my own custom LUT, which significantly reduces the number of effects that could otherwise hurt performance.

Performance presets do not include camera simulation effects or lens imperfections, which is worth highlighting. Overall, Performance versions are much more suitable for relaxed, everyday gameplay.

InstallationSimply drop the shaders and your chosen preset into the main game directory.

Performance notesOn the Performance version, I didn’t notice any FPS drops compared to the vanilla game. On weaker systems, you might see a 1–3 FPS drop, although The Last of Us Part II Remastered is already a demanding title, so realistically no one is running it on a GTX 1050 Ti  but if someone does, the Performance version exists for that reason.

The Full version, however, is pure hell on performance. On average, I saw 10–15 FPS drops, but keep in mind my setup is far from typical. I’m currently running an RTX 5070 Ti paired with an i7-3770 as a temporary solution, so those drops are very likely caused by the old platform bottleneck.

Additional notesWith Frame Generation, you might notice some minor flickering under very specific conditions, but in practice it almost never happens.

I didn’t test the preset with upscaling extensively, but from what I know, the game uses newer FSR versions (3–3. 1), and DLSS 4 is present  I had access to Multi Frame Generation, so the preset should scale well.

That said, running Ultra Performance mode at 1080p will obviously look bad  that’s just common sense.

I encourage discussion among people who are into raw, brutal atmosphere, not pointless whining. Don’t be afraid to ask for help  I’m happy to assist with installation or any other issues.
