No Return Custom Buddies

Description

Have any buddy you want in every encounter. Includes presets as well as a script to let you generate whatever combination you want.

Installation instructions

Place the .psarc in your mods folder.

Main features

You can either pick one of the pre-made .psarc files and place it in your mods folder, or use the script to generate a fresh custom .psarc with your preferred buddy combination.

The following presets exist:

buddy-random.psarc: A random buddy from the default set in every encounter.

buddy-ellie-tommy.psarc: Tommy in every encounter for Ellie-aligned characters (except Tommy).

buddy-ellie-dina.psarc: Dina in every encounter for Ellie-aligned characters (except Dina).

buddy-ellie-joel.psarc: Joel in every encounter for Ellie-aligned characters (except Joel).

buddy-abby-lev.psarc: Lev in every encounter for Abby-aligned characters (except Lev).

In order to create a custom .psarc in the following way:

First, download the optional Custom Buddies Script file and extract everything into one folder. Then download ndarc and place ndarc.exe in the same directory.

Open buddy_config.txt & read the instructions carefully. Edit the list of characters that you want and then run the script which will read the file and produce buddy-custom.psarc. Put this in your mods folder (and remove any previous buddy-* mods you have installed).

Requirements

Requires the ndmodloader & Binary Modules Merger.

If you want to use the script, you'll need to install Python & ndarc.exe.
