bin.psarc file in version 1.4

In this version, since this bin version is from 1. 4, there are no Joel and Tommy Unchated costumes but there is still a chronological Story Mode.

Most character model mods (such as hair or outfit swaps) for versions 1. 3 or 1. 4 were created using the ActorBrowser tool.

To make a mod, modders usually:

Open the characters.bin file from version 1. 4 using ActorBrowser.

Edit the character models as they wish.

Export the modified characters.bin and pak68.txt files.

Repack everything using the correct game folder structure into a .psarc file, then place it in the mods folder.

However, the 1. 6 update added new content (for example, the two outfits for Sam and Nathan Drake ..), which also changed the structure of the characters.bin file in the game.

As a result, old mods (based on the characters.bin from version 1. 4) no longer work correctly in version 1. 6, since they’re missing the new data or references added in the update.

To make the mods work with version 1. 5, modders need to open the updated characters.bin file from version 1. 6, reapply their previous edits, and then rebuild the mod using ActorBrowser.

Because of this, I’ve shared the bin.psarc file from version 1. 4 so that people who updated to 1. 6 can still use older mods temporarily.

Once the mods are updated to be compatible with version 1. 6, everyone can go back to using the official bin.psarc from 1. 6 to enjoy the new content.
