An add-on for the Experience Mod by Squall

Your XP, level-ups and bonuses finally survive a reload.

✦ WHICH FILE SHOULD I DOWNLOAD?

There are two versions. They save exactly the same things: install only one of them.

• []Standard (recommended for most players) · a simple .pak, installs with Vortex, nothing else needed.[/]

  []UE4SS version · for players who also use mods that replace Jodi, such as Zero Sway or Acrobatic Jodi. The Standard .pak replaces the same game file as those mods, so only one of them would work. The UE4SS version replaces no game file (tested with both mods), and adds a "Bonus EXP" page to the pause menu.[/]

• []New UE4SS version: a UE4SS script instead of a .pak, so it no longer conflicts with mods that replace Jodi.[/]

  []"Bonus EXP" in the pause menu (UE4SS version): a page with your level, XP progress, Double XP and all your weapon and character bonuses, in every language of the game. It follows the language you pick in the game's settings.[/]

  []The Standard .pak is still available and unchanged (1. 0. 2 only adds a README).[/]

With the Experience Mod, XP and level-up bonuses are lost every time you load a save or start a new chapter, because the game never stored them. This add-on saves them with each save:

• []XP, next level threshold and the Double XP bonus[/]

  []A pending level-up choice[/]

  []Weapon damage / magazine bonuses[/]

  []Max Health, Health Regen, Max Stamina, Stamina Regen, Backpack Capacity[/]

Progression is also carried over to the next chapter through the chapter-end save (the one created when you finish a chapter / take the Central Lab elevator).

✦ REQUIREMENTS

• []Both versions: the Experience Mod by Squall.[/]

  []UE4SS version only: UE4SS, experimental build: download UE4SS_v3. 0. 1-....zip (not the zDEV one) and extract it into ...\TheKillingAntidote\TheKillingAntidote\Binaries\Win64. The 3. 0. 1 release also runs it, but can't read weapon bonuses.[/]

Standard · install it with Vortex ("Mod Manager Download"), or put zzz_Sq_Experience_SaveFix_P.pak in Steam\steamapps\common\TheKillingAntidote\TheKillingAntidote\Content\Paks\~mods.

To uninstall, remove it in Vortex or delete the .pak.

UE4SS version · manual only: extract the ue4ss folder of the archive into Steam\steamapps\common\TheKillingAntidote\TheKillingAntidote\Binaries\Win64 (where UE4SS is installed). You should get Win64\ue4ss\Mods\ExperienceSavePersistence\Scripts\main.lua. Vortex would put it in the wrong folder.

To uninstall, delete the ue4ss\Mods\ExperienceSavePersistence folder.

✦ UPDATING / SWITCHING VERSIONS

[]Standard 1. 0.x → Standard 1. 0. 2: just replace the .pak, nothing else changes.[/]

[*]Standard → UE4SS version: the .pak stores your progression inside your saves, the UE4SS version in small files next to them. To carry it over: install the UE4SS version while keeping the .pak, load your save and save again, then remove the .pak. If you used the old Zero Sway Edition, remove it too and install Zero Sw
