Waterfowl Remover

Tired of the constant noise of waterfowl?

This mod will help you remove all waterfowl species from your population files.

Upland game birds are not affected (Capercaillie, Grouse, Pheasant, Ptarmigan, Quail and Turkey).

Installation:

Extract the zip file to your COTW game folder (usually Steam\steamapps\common\theHunterCotW\). This will create a new sub folder 'dropzone'. To activate the mod, you have to add this line to the games launch options in steam:

--vfs-fs dropzone --vfs-archive archives_win64

You then have to delete your current population files in your save game folder. But...

MAKE A BACKUP FIRST!

The save game folder can be found in Documents\Avalanche Studios\COTW\Saves\.

The relevant population files are:

animal_population_0  (Hirschfelden)

animal_population_1  (Layton Lake)

animal_population_3  (Vurhonga Savanna)

animal_population_4  (Parque Fernando)

animal_population_6  (Yukon Valley)

animal_population_10 (Te Awaroa)

animal_population_12 (Mississippi Acres)

animal_population_13 (Revontuli Coast)

animal_population_14 (New England)

animal_population_17 (Sundarpatan)

animal_population_18 (Salzwiesen)

animal_population_19 (Askiy Ridge)

Delete those.

You can keep the other population files, they belong to the lodges and to reserves that don't have waterfowl on them.

Start the game and enter each reserve. The game will create a new population w/o any waterfowl.
