Rebalanced Rare Colors

This mod makes rare color variants more common - for most species, rare colors are roughly twice as common as they are in an unmodified game, generally sitting between 1/250 to 1/1000. Additionally, various other tweaks have been made, like unimpressive rare colors becoming common or vice versa, and changes to what sexes can spawn in what colors. Overall, I’ve aimed to balance realism with variety, to make sure that special things are obtainable, but still feel special. With this mod, your reserves should always include multiple animals with rare colors.

RRC does not change how often diamonds spawn at all, just colors. It is incompatible with any mods that change diamond spawn rates.

Installation

For New England Mountains and later:

Simply unzip the file and place it in the root folder of your game. You should end up with two files at the following location:

<root folder>/dropzone/global

Note that this mod will only affect newly-spawned animals. If you want to refresh your reserve population, go to the following location (on Windows), and delete all the animal population files to force the game to generate new ones.
