Introduction

TFWMA is a small exe-file tool designed for TFW modders to run when they need assistant with the pre-requisite aspects of getting your mods set up, for the first time. Your installation is automatically detected, you can diagnose mod installation issues, as well as automatically install/repair a mod stack (UE4SS + TFWWorkbench). You can automatically download, through the tool, the correct build versions of UE4SS - the latest version of UE4SS that still works with latest TFWWorkbench before subsequent versions of UE4SS stop working with TFWWorkbench - this tool will install, repair, and download the correct versions for you, directly from github. There's available functionality to generate a zip file in the same directory as the exe is located, and within the zip file are all the logs that you need to hand over to someone so that someone can troubleshoot your mods for you, if you have issues that cannot be solved with the tool. You're also able to list what is currently installed in terms of your Pak mods, UE4SS Lua mods, and whether you've got the right UE4SS and TFWWorkbench installed. There's also functionality to open up a reference menu, for some tips on handling common mod issues, as well as the ability to re-search the local machine for another, secondary installation directory of TFW, just in case, for some reason, you've got two of them. Or more. There are many languages available, which you can also switch between. Translations might require some refinement.

Functionality

1. Diagnose my install - Lists if your game is found, if your build number matches the bypass pattern. Also checks whether Signature Bypass exists, checks if dsound.dll + bitfix\sig.lua is installed, and then pattern-matches to bitfix.txt. Next, it checks whether your UE4SS exists, and checks to see if dwmapi.dll and ue4ss\ue4ss.dll exists or is missing. Then, checks for TFWWorkbench is installed. Finally, it checks to see if your Content\Pak\Mods directory is properly set up, and that your folders are correctly named. Then it gives you a final verdict, and lists exactly what you should do, in a checklist, afterwards.

2. Set up / repair the stack - Redownloads and installs UE4SS and TFWWorkbench. Overwrites what's already there, if it already exists.

3. Download the pinned versions - Only redownloads the pinned versions of UE4SS and TFWWorkbench, in zip file format.

4. Collect a support bundle - Generates a .zip with your important logfiles already in it. Send them to someone for troubleshooting purposes.

5. What is installed - Takes an inventory of all of your installed mods, their versions, both UE4SS and Pak mods.

6. Reference - Displays some reference materials for learning how this all functions.

7. Point me at a different copy of the game - Selects another TFW installation, if another one exists.
