📋 About This Mod
My take on a replica of "The Hyperion" from StarCraft/StarCraft II. Took about a year of both small adjustments and nearly complete reworks, but I finally think it's worth posting. Mods requirements Zero functionality mods are required, but I highly recommend downloading all of the CC ("CrossCorp") skin packs from the Workshop, as I used the Hawkeye palette for every block on the ship. Movement Thanks to the Hoverbug, it can stay almost perfectly still at any altitude, descending ever so slowly. Flies and turns decently well for a giant heavy ship; if anything, the clunkiness is intended, as it just felt wrong for a capital ship to be too maneuverable. Top horizontal speed with no boosters is at ~83 MpH and stays about the same if the ship is angled 10-20 degrees up. Changing the pitch of the ship is the main way of climbing. Four boosters and a few fuel tanks are present, providing a rather small boost of ~4 MpH. Despite there being a switch for anti-gravity, there are currently no anti-gravity engines on the ship. They existed in earlier stages, before I switched to the Hoverbug, and I decided to keep the switch because it adds to the looks of the ship. Energy Management 10 Gluon Mega Batteries provide enough energy for it to outlast most, if not any, enemies. It also has a bunch of Better Future solar panels for self-recharging when sky-anchored and a few GeoCorp Remote Chargers for slowly but surely recharging any smaller techs. Shielding&Repair The ship is protected by 12 Havoc shields and 12 GeoCorp repair bubbles. This is the minimum that keeps the bubbles from being too dense to see the ship well, but the tradeoff is that the back, despite being covered well enough against non-explosive projectiles, is a bit weak to strong explosions such as those from Hawkeye Cruise Missiles or GSO Gigaton and Big Bertha Cannon. Armaments I tried to keep the weapons used relatively close to the lore, though, of course, it's not exactly perfect both in terms of the weapons u
