Psychedelic Dice Set

Group of friends and I are playing a home brew 5e campaign. Party consists of me as a teifling warlock, a teifling rogue, dragonborne dark knight, and a high elf bard all lvl 4. >party is in magical mansion with many doors lining the hallways. >we go through a door and come out the same door like some scoobydoo type crap >the difference is each time we are in a different dimension of the mansion >party goes through door #9 to end up seeing a Minotaur patrolling this dimension of the mansion >quick run through door #10 to get away from Minotaur >We notice a new door that hasn't been in the other dimensions >there's a problem: mind flayer is guarding the door >we manage to kill the mind flayer by the skin of our teeth with our bard and dark knight both going down >after healing up the party we try to open the door >surprise surprise it's locked... >dark knight's face sinks a little >we ask what's up? >says he thinks he knows who has the key >all our faces sink Minotaur >we head back to door #9 >immediately confronted by Minotaur >two rounds in Minotaur tries to spear head bard >nat 1 >his horns get him stuck in the wall >bard walks up next to his ear and cast vicious mockery calling him a little fat girl It's super effective >Minotaur tries to pull out ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) >nat 1 >still stuck in wall >party is beating him up while bard jumps to other side to cast viscous mockery in his other ear telling him he's the worst Minotaur he's ever seen >Minotaur is noticeably bloodied >I see the Minotaur's spirit is broken so I try and reason with him >I attempt to comfort the Minotaur and befriend him >DM says to roll animal handling >nat 20 >Minotaur shows signs of defeat so I say we'll stop if he gives us the key >he agrees and we help pull him out and he gives us the key >we ask if he wants to join us as a joke >DM says to roll persuasion >nat 20 >We now have a Minotaur in our party
