📋 About This Mod
The French auto race card game, Mille Bornes, here in its 1982 Parker Brothers edition! Along the roads in Europe—especially in France—one sees small cement markers at regular intervals. The French call these markers "bornes kilometriques." We know them as kilometer-stones or milestones. Milestones show the number of the route as well as the distance to the next town. Their red or yellow color also shows whether the route is a national highway or a local road. These markers give this game its name: MILLE BORNES (pronounced "MEEL BORN") means "a thousand milestones." MILLE BORNES is a card game for 2, 3, 4, or 6 players, usually played as a partnership game by 4 players—2 on each team. Gazoxtahagen's notes: When I was a small boy in the 1970s, I was snooping around my parents' bar in the basement when I happened upon this game in a drawer. I was amazed by it... a game, played by adults? It had a plastic card card tray, the words on the cards were in a foreign language... it all seemed so... sophisticated. I had to learn it! When I was a little older, I got a deck of my own... this deck, published by Parker Brothers in 1982. Its clean graphics, as well as its use of an all-time classic game typeface, "Ubiq," makes this my favorite MILLE BORNES deck.
