The Tormented Crypt is the first mod in The Tormented Series, followed by the in-development prequel, The Tormented Prequel. The Tormented Crypt - or TTC - is an RPG Dungeon Crawler with a lot of content for such a little game. The goal of the first player is to progress through a large dungeon, ultimately killing the dungeon master, or Necromancer. Player 2's goal is to defeat player 1's heroes. What is this about? TTC is an RPG Dungeon Crawler with a sole purpose to allow for a fun experience. The game itself will require multiple sittings in order to complete. Player 1 controls a small band of heroes whose quest is to defeat an evil Necromancer controlled by the second player. The heroes will gain experience, level up, and purchase or find gear. Each hero has a special ability and different stats and equipment. Player 2 controls the entire dungeon, including the final boss the heroes must fight. The main villain is the Necromancer who can summon the undead to do his bidding and use spells against the heroes when they get close. How does this mod play? TTS - or The Tormented Series - will be turn based. As it stands right now, TTC's combat is only turn based while outside of combat you can move and attack freely.
