📋 About This Mod
is a cooperative board game initially designed to introduce a diverse body of students to network security terminology, attack & defense mechanics, and basic computer security concepts. It's inspired by Forbidden Island, a tabletop game created by Matt Leacock and published by Gamewright. Players assume the role of hackers, infiltrating a network. Together, you need to collect of digital assets and use each to each . Once you get all four digital assets, you and the other players need to escape the network, without getting caught. Each round, the admins will the network and they may detect your intrusions. If the admins begin to suspect you are in their network: machines may get for forensic investigation, the network threat level increases, and you or your friends might get caught. You all win or lose together. If someone gets caught, if the threat level reaches INFOCON Level 1, if you can no longer move around the network, or if it becomes impossible to win, you all lose. Project's official website: http://d0x3d.com Manual for the game on Github: link Video tutorials provided here belong to the v. 1 of the game, the rules have been slightly changed since then, and network tiles are now hexademical. Size of hexademical grid of 4 seems to be optimal, in terms of usability.
