📋 About This Mod

Do you love the idea of wargaming but warhammer is not for you? Or maybe it is but you would also like to play out historical battles! This is a tabletop wargame set in the historical period of the seven years' war (1754-1763). What it currently contains: At leas one line regiment from all major states who fought in the war Major states aligned with Austria Austria France Russia Saxony Spain Sweden Major states aligned with Prussia Great Britain Hanover Portugal Prussia As well as some cavalry regiments and artillery regiments. Also, there are smokescreens, the idea is that you can keep track of which units that have fired by placing these in front of them (plus it looks cool). Planned features: Regiments for minor nations, Grenadiers, skirmish troops, generals, fortifications and generally more of everything! FAQ Q: Why is there 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 line infantry units? A: The idea is that as a unit takes hits, you can replace it with one of a lower number. Q: Why is there two different flags for every regiment? A: Back then there were several companies in a batallion (usually five) and one of these was the "first" company, more experienced and "important". The first company carried the "Colonel flag" while the others carried the regimental "Flag" Q: Company, batallion... this is confusing, how does it work? A: This is how it's described for Prussia and I think it was similar for most armies: 1 Regiment consists of 2 Batallions which consists of 10 companies. Each company consist of a flag and 8-10 firing platoons which were 3 ranks deep. For more info check http://www.kronoskaf.com/syw/index.php?title=Prussian_Line_Infantry_Drill I would suggest letting every 5-line inf unit represent one or more firing platoons and placing them in two ranks. Q: How can I tell which regiment that belongs to what country? A: When you hover over a unit, you will see it's regiment and if you right click on it, you will see what country it belongs to in the description. You can edit this
