The Castles of Burgundy

The Castles of Burgundy is Stefen Feld's masterful tile-placement board game for 2 to 4 players. If you don't know what it is, you should. And, if you do, you know why it is ranked in BoardGameGeek's Top 20 games of all time. "15th century princes from the Loire Valley devote their efforts to strategic trading and building in order to bring their estates prosperity and prominence throughout Burgundy! This exciting game is challenging and brings out the competition for an evening of fun!" This is a setup using four copies of Map #1. I will eventually add a way to use the other advanced game maps. Instructions for play can be found at http://www.aleaspiele.de/Pages/A14/. Setup: Shuffle the five stacks of tokens closest to the top of the board: beige, yellow, light, green, brown, and black. Proceed to set up the game as outlined in the rule book. Notes: Seriously, this one is a beast. Quite a lot of art will need to be downloaded on initial startup. If nothing seems to be happening for a while, just wait. I cannot guarantee you will have a lag-free experience, but this mod works fine on my three-year-old computer. It is recommended that the host uncheck "Enable Hands" in the game options. Hex tiles have been replaced with square tiles. Hopefully we will have hex tiles in TTS someday. Player turn markers are pawns. You'll just have to work with that adjustment because dice just don't stack. I omitted the four 100/200 victory point markers. If you do a complete lap or two around the board, just stick it in the notebook. Or give yourself a poker chip. Or a pat on the back. The Castles of Burgundy has been tested, and known to run, on the Steam version of Tabletop Simulator Early Access v1. 6.
