---------- From the box: Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy is the updated core game of the space opera masterpiece from designer Touko Tahkokallio and publisher Lautapelit.fi. Eclipse is a "4X" game where players will command a human or alien species that explores, expands, exploits, and exterminates their way to victory. Over 8 rounds, each player will select actions to achieve their goals, carefully managing resources, engaging in epic battles with one another and the Ancients that lie in wait. Only one will guide the galaxy toward the second dawn. ---------- About this mod: Scripts have been added to facilitate setup and game flow, and will handle the following: - All technology is dealt and placed automatically. - Sector 3 tiles auto-prune. - Tile stacks are protected. - Reputation and Tech bags auto-shuffle. All stacks shuffle on initial setup and load. - Pass status is lightly tracked when the action/pass card is flipped. - Colony and pass cards auto-refresh, turn marker advances automatically. - Hexes auto-resize themselves to fit on the grid more easily. - Discard button will return reputation tiles nearby and from player hands to the bag. ---------- Setup: Once all players are in the game and have chosen a color, click the "Next Round" button. This button runs the scripts that handle both setup and turn advancement. The scripts are based on the number of seated players, so if the button is clicked early you won't get the right number of techs or tiles and will have to manually correct. All races are in bags on the teal side table above the supply board. With colors locked to table positions, there's no need to match player color with species color in the game. Drag the player board, ambassador tokens, and starting sector to your side board, move your action disks onto it, and proceed with the rest of player setup as described in the rule book.
