Harry Potter: Battle for Hogwarts

Set during the final battle of the Second Wizarding War, Harry Potter: Battle for Hogwarts is a Wizarding World re-theme for Arcane Wonders’ two-player, fast-paced strategy game Onitama. Overview This re-theme aims to stay true to Onitama’s core, and J. K. Rowling's world, by transporting you and your opponent to the early hours of May 2nd, 1998, on the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where Harry and members of Dumbledore’s Army are defending an onslaught of spells by Voldemort and his Death Eaters. Will you use Incendio to slow your opponent, Flipendo to stun them, or Expelliarmus to disarm them quickly? Use a mix of 16 recognizable spells from the books and movies to duel your way to victory. Includes 5 x 5 board 16 spell cards Harry Potter Ron Weasley Hermione Granger Ginny Weasley Luna Lovegood Voldemort 4 Death Eaters Game Setup Each player chooses a side of the board and one set of pawns (Death Eaters or Dumbledore’s Army). Shuffle the 16 spell cards, and give two face-up cards to each player, these are the player’s “hand”. Turn over one more spell card, and examine the icon in the bottom left corner of the card. The player with that color icon on their side of the board will go first. Place this card to the side of the board, this is the fifth spell card. How to Play On a 5 x 5 board, both players start with five pawns on their side, with the main pawn in the middle. Each player has two open cards that each display a possible spell (move) for any of their pieces. There is a fifth spell card that cannot be used by either player. On a player's turn, they choose one of their spell cards, move one of their pieces according to the chosen card, then replace the spell card they used with the fifth spell card. The other player then chooses one of their own spell cards, moves accordingly, and exchanges that card with this fifth spell card — which is, of course, the spell card the first player just used.
