📋 About This Mod
Breaks the ~277 customers/day ceiling, reshapes shopping baskets, controls price tolerance, and automates restocking logistics. Fully modular.
The problem
No matter how many checkouts you build or how large your store gets, Supermarket Together tops out at roughly 277 customers per day. Raising the simultaneous customer cap doesn't help. The store fills up, then everything slows down and the daily total stays exactly where it was.
The cause is a hard-coded spawn cooldown: the game waits 2 to 4 seconds between every single customer. Over an 840-second business day, that's about 280 customers maximum — the number you keep hitting.
What this mod does
Realistic Traffic removes that ceiling and gives you control over how your store actually behaves. Every module has its own on/off switch, so you can take only what you want.
Traffic and volume. Configurable spawn delay (replacing the vanilla 2-4s), simultaneous customer cap, per-frame processing multiplier so the customer state machine isn't throttled to one customer per physics frame, hourly affluence curve (morning rush, midday, evening), weekly profile (quiet Mondays, busy Saturdays), and an optional daily quota if you want a controlled volume rather than maximum throughput.
Crowd movement. Adjustable walking speed, and an anti-swarm option that disables obstacle avoidance on customers — the same treatment the game already applies to employees. Without it, dense crowds form frozen clumps in narrow aisles: customers can't reach their stopping point, so they never advance, never leave, and never free up space. With it enabled, they pass slightly through each other but keep moving.
Price sensitivity. Vanilla customers refuse any product priced above roughly 2 to 2. 5 times its market value. This mod lets you widen that tolerance, or switch on "accept all prices" and mark items up as far as you like with zero refusals.
Shopping baskets. Configurable size distribution (small / medium / large / huge) so you decide how many customers grab three items and how many do a full weekly shop. Plus value-targeted big shops: roughly one customer in seven fills a basket until it reaches a set dollar amount.
Automatic logistics. Out-of-stock product gets substituted with something actually on the shelf instead of the customer walking out. A restocker is dispatched automatically when a product is missing. Products with no shelf assignment get one. And missing products can be pre-added to your ordering device cart — you still confirm the purchase yourself.
Daily CSV report. Best and worst selling products written to disk every day, so you can see what actually drives your revenue.
