Bottomless Chest

Your chests grow with what you put in them.

The problem

Thirty slots fill up fast. So you build another chest. Then another. Before long

you have a wall of identical wooden boxes and no idea which one has the iron in

it, and every trip home turns into opening five chests in a row.

What this does

• []Chests grow as you fill them. A chest starts at the usual 30 slots and

  gains a new space every time you store something. Take items out and the extra

  space quietly goes away again. You never think about capacity — you just put

  things in the chest.[/]

  []Scrolling. The chest panel scrolls, so a full chest is still readable.

  It always opens at the top.[/]

  []Filter by category. A row of icons above the chest: fish, crops, gems,

  materials, forageables, animal products, food, potions, artisan goods, gear.

  Click one and the chest shows only that. Click it again to see everything.[/]

  []Search by name. Type what you are looking for and the chest narrows

  down as you type. Works in your own language, not just English. Search and

  filters stack, so you can look for "iron" inside Materials.[/]

  One chest can now be the chest.

  It just works

  Drop it in and play. Nothing to set up, nothing to learn, and an empty chest

  behaves exactly like it did before. There is a settings file if you want to

  change how it grows or move the filter bar around, but you will probably never

  ⚠ Before you uninstall — please read

  If you remove this mod while a chest holds more than 30 items,

  everything past the 30th item is gone.

  This is not something the mod can prevent. Without it installed, the game simply

  cannot see the extra items — it loads the first 30, and the next time your game

  saves, the rest are erased. There is no warning from the game and no way to get

  So before uninstalling: empty your chests down to 30 items or fewer.

  While the mod is installed it looks out for you. If any chest is over the limit

  you will get a message telling you how many items are at risk.

  Back up your saves before installing anything, this mod included. They are in:

  • []Install BepInEx 5 (x64) and run the game once.[/]

    Good to know

    • []Categories overlap on purpose — an apple is both a forageable and a food, so

      it shows under both.[/]

      []Not compatible with Senpai's Chest. Both mods rebuild the same chest

      window, so use one or the other.[/]

      []Multiplayer has not been tested.[/]

      Something broke?

      Open the settings file at

      BepInEx\config\evilshira.sunhaven.bottomlesschest.cfg, set

      VerboseLogging and LogCategoryReport to true, reproduce the

      problem, and post BepInEx\LogOutput.log with your report. That log tells

      me almost everything I need.
