Fast Loading Screen - Turboboost your Subnautica Below Zero loading times

What is this?

This mod aims to eliminate avoidable slowdowns in the game's loading times, to ensure you are always loading the game as fast as your machine can handle! Through this mod, I have personally cut my own loading times in almost half!

Manual Installation

Installation is fully compatible with QModManager! Whether QModManager is installed or not, simply follow these steps:

• []Install the latest version of Tobey's BepInEx Pack for Subnautica: Below Zero.

  []Download Fast Loading Screen from the Files tab and extract the archive into your game folder.

  Usage

  ---

  No configuration required!

  Just boot up the game as usual and be safe in the knowledge that your game is now loading as fast as it can.

  If you want to compare the differences with and without this mod, you can follow these steps:

  • []Optionally, enable the BepInEx console by editing the BepInEx.cfg found at SubnauticaZero\BepInEx\config as follows:

    ## Enables showing a console for log output.

    # Setting type: Boolean

    # Default value: false

    Enabled = true

    []Start the game, and load your save/start a new game while holding down your Left Ctrl key. Once the loading process begins you can release Left Ctrl.

    []Once you have loaded into the game, you will see a line in the console like this:

    Benchmark complete, loading completed in 12. 72s.

    []Now, exit back to the main menu and load into the same save (or a new game) again without holding Left Ctrl. The performance boosters will be enabled, and at the end of the loading

    screen the console should read output similar to the following:

    Loading completed in 7. 41s, vs. unboosted benchmark of 12. 72s.

    Improvement of 5. 31s.

  • If you chose not to enable the BepInEx console, you can now read your outputs in the LogOutput.log file found in the SubnauticaZero\BepInEx folder.

    By the way, those aren't made up numbers in the sample logs above, those are from one of my average benchmarks. My loading times are almost cut in half!
