SpeedBoost Patch - Scout Ray and Hydropulsor

Makes the Tadpole Scout Ray chassis and Wakemaker / Hydropulsor hand tool dramatically faster.

What It Changes

- Scout Ray chassis speed boost: 200. 0 -> 3000. 0

- Wakemaker / Hydropulsor speed boost: 250. 0 -> 10750. 0

Not included yet:

- Haul / Transport chassis speed boost

This is a tiny local patcher. It does not include or redistribute original game assets.

Installation

1. Extract the ZIP.

2. Close Subnautica 2.

3. Run Install-SpeedPatch.bat.

4. Start the game.

If the game is installed outside the default Steam location, run PowerShell in the extracted folder:

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\Apply-Subnautica2SpeedPatch.ps1 -GameRoot "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Subnautica2"

Run PowerShell as Administrator if Windows blocks writing to Program Files.

Multiplayer

All players should install the patch locally. If only one player has it, movement may not match between clients.

Close the game and run Restore-SpeedPatch.bat, or verify game files in Steam.

Compatibility

The patch is version-sensitive because it edits Subnautica2-Windows.ucas at known offsets. The script verifies the bytes before writing. If it reports unexpected bytes, stop and wait for an updated version.

Steam game verification or a Subnautica 2 update can remove the patch. Run the installer again after verification/update if the script still confirms compatible bytes.
