📋 About This Mod

Stop your mining spots running dry in Subnautica 2. Mined nodes, loose pickups, water slugs and even Troilite all respawn live, right where they stood. No save, no reload, and spots you emptied last session refill right after login. Set the

♥ Resource Respawn ♥

Mined a spot dry? Don't cry — give it a little love and it comes back. ♥

★ v2. 1: Troilite finally respawns, and the spots you emptied last session are waiting for you right after login. ★

In Subnautica 2, loose pickups and wildlife slowly respawn on their own, but mined ore nodes are finite — the game wants you to farm those with a Metal Farm. Resource Respawn gives every gathered resource a second life on a cooldown you control, so your favourite spots never truly run dry. ♥

Everything is configurable in-game — no file editing needed — if you have Mod Settings installed.

♥ What's new in 2. 1

  • []Troilite respawns now. The one resource marked (unsupported) is supported. Its Mineralized Clinker turned out to be a real resource node under the hood, so it comes back like everything else. Toggle it in Mod Settings.[/]

[]Refill on load. Spots you emptied in an earlier session, or before you even installed the mod, come back about 15 seconds after you get near them. No more waiting the full timer on every login. On by default; the toggle sits right under the timer slider. (Thanks Fe1eNinamu24 for the idea!)[/]

[]Respawned nodes keep their original size. They used to come back shrunken.[/]

[]The respawn slider is easier to tune: 5s to 10min (was 60min), default 120s. Its description now also explains why very low timers can cost a little performance.[/]

And everything from 2. 0 still holds: deposits, loose pickups and water slugs all respawn live, right where they stood. No Save, no reload, no swimming away. The new node is a full resource node: mine it, get the resource, mine it again. ♥

    ♥ How it works

    • []Mined deposits — the game destroys the node when you break it, so the mod remembers what stood there (which node, where, at what angle) and spawns a fresh one on your timer.[/]

[]Loose pickups & water slugs — these survive being harvested, so the mod simply clears their "gathered" state, which is cheaper.[/]

[]Non-destructive — no save editing. Uninstall and the world is vanilla again after the next reload. ♥[/]

      ♥ Features

      • []Every gathered resource respawns after a cooldown you choose[/]

        []One global respawn-time slider (5s–10min, default 120s)[/]

[]Refill on load: spots emptied in an earlier session refill about 15s after you get near them[/]

[]Per-resource on/off toggles: Titanium, Copper, Quartz, Salt, Water Slug, Lead, Silver, Sulfur, Gold, Lithium, Atacamite, Celestine, Conduit Crystal, Creature Enamel, Axum Bacterial Culture and Troilite (both normally finite — this mod lets them respawn)[/]

[]Auto-detected language (English included; built so other languages are easy to add)[/]

        ♥ Compatibility

        • []Existing saves — safe to add mid-playthrough. Resources you harvested before installing come back too, about 15s after you get near them (Refill on load). No new game needed. (Thanks to Fe1eNinamu24 for confirming.)[/]

[]Game version — reported working on 1. 1. (Thanks to Fe1eNinamu24.)[/]

[]Multiplayer / Co-op — see Known Issues. Host and client must both install the mod with the same settings; it does not sync between players.[/]

          ♥ Requirements

          • []UE4SS for Subnautica 2[/]

[]Mod Settings for Subnautica 2 — optional but recommended (adds the in-game config menu)[/]

            ♥ Installation

            • []Install UE4SS for Subnautica 2.[/]

[]Install this mod with Vortex, or extract the ResourceRespawn folder into ...\Subnautica2\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\.[/]

[](Optional) Install Mod Settings to configure it in-game.[/]

              ♥ Configuration

With Mod Settings installed, open Settings → Mods → Resource Respawn in-game. Toggle each resource and drag the respawn-time slider; changes apply within a few seconds. Without Mod Settings, edit ResourceRespawn/Scripts/config.lua.
