Kimberly's character is the key to long term control in long lasting civilizations: the inheritance of traditions. While Chun Li represented tradition itself. Kimberly represents how that tradition wiggles its way into the younger generation. Kimberly is a "hipster". 80s/90s inspired gear and aesthetic despite most definitely being born in the 2000's. People in real life behave this way. This blind admiration of a bygone era that, in all reality, would likely reject them as strongly as they chase it. But hey, big over the ear headphones right? Walkman music players and ghostbusters, so cool... That is how you dig your claws into the youth. Sell the aesthetics, plant the seed, watch it grow in them as doctrine and ideology. Suddenly, all that was becomes superior to all that is, and all that will be. The thoughts and feelings of those before you become their gospel.
