Ripped Female Fighters

Introduction

Do you remember the SF4 and SF5 era when all the females in the game had more defined muscles? Remember Cammy's model in SF5, ripped like hell? Well, I miss those times. After doing my first study with Mai NSFW Add-ons, I decided to go further and created a new normals map, made with parts of several characters (Ken, Male Avatar, Marisa, and Cammy), and adapted it for most of the female fighters in the game. My goal is to bring the game back to the standards of strength and muscles better distributed among the fighters and not be something exclusive to muscle mommy Marisa.

At the moment, this mod brings more muscular normal textures to Chun-Li, Cammy, Juri, Manon, A. K. I., Mai, Kimberly, and Elena. By requests, I will conduct tests with both Marisa and Lily to see if I will add these two to the mod.

Models supported.

This texture works perfectly on vanilla models, mods from ItsBOO and BrutalAce (and some other more careful modders). Unfortunately, this mod is partially compatible with most mods present on Nexus because of the inverted normals problem. Speaking of this problem...

The Inverted Normals Problem.

A very common problem in SF6 mods, but which escapes the untrained eye due to the lack of depth in the game's texture maps: Most mods on the Nexus have inverted normal maps in areas of skin that do not exist in the vanilla models and were added by these mods.

After researching the issue, I ended up finding the answer with the MVP of our community, Mr. BrutalAce, who promptly explained to me why this occurs.

According to Ace, mods that add new areas of skin need to go through some adjustment steps in Blender to properly link the game's normals to these modified models. And then be exported as a game model file by Blender itself.

Unfortunately, most modders do not pay attention to these details, largely due to the low volumetric nature of vanilla muscle maps, most don't even know that this problem exists in the first place. Since this mod takes advantage of adjustments in depth and contrast to make muscles more evident, this issue become quite prominent once these muscular normals are installed.

The fix, by BrutalAce's own words, is the follow:

"So when you import or edit 3D model, it's common for mesh normals to get messed up, and you have to recalculate them before exporting your model, most modders don't do that and just export the model which causes this issue. This can not be fixed through textures. You have to fix the mesh by recalculating normals".

The textures of this mod can still be used with mods that have these issues, since areas that exist in vanilla models do not have this issue.
