Pithecus Terrarium

PITHECUS TERRARIUM Pithecus Terrarium is inspired by my own pet tarantula called Pithecus. I wanted to bring that personal connection into Stranded: Alien Dawn as both a relaxing decoration and a useful colony building. FEATURES The mod adds two buildable objects: • A standalone animated Pithecus terrarium • A terrarium mounted on a functional metal wardrobe Survivors can appreciate Pithecus and receive: Appreciated Pithecus: +20 Happiness Pithecus uses a subtle, delayed idle animation. Long periods of stillness and small movements are intentional, creating natural behavior without distracting or unstable animation. FUNCTIONAL WARDROBE The combined version works like a vanilla wardrobe: • Exactly 15 storage slots • Stores only Apparel, Weapons and Tools • Uses low-reaching survivor interactions • Keeps its doors permanently closed • Does not display stored items • Retains the appreciation interaction and spider animation The cupboard has a realistic satin silver-chrome finish with softened reflections and a few subtle scratches. IMPORTANT NOTES • The doors do not open. • Stored items remain hidden. • Pithecus moves very subtly and may stay still between movements. • The mod adds new buildings and does not replace the vanilla wardrobe. The release build has been tested for construction, placement, storage, appreciation, animation, save/reload, moving and deconstruction. FEEDBACK Feedback is welcome.
