Calm under fire and unwilling to leave anyone behind, he built a reputation for leading from the front instead of behind a command table. His career ended when his unit was surrounded and evacuation became impossible, Halden organized a desperate defensive stand to buy time for civilian transports and the wounded to escape. For hours, his squad held against overwhelming odds. One by one, his soldiers fell until Halden was the last man fighting. Severely wounded and presumed dead, he was recovered days later after rescue teams found him unconscious among the ruins. The operation was declared a success—hundreds survived because his squad refused to retreat. The scars across his face are permanent reminders of the price paid that day. Though celebrated as a hero, Halden rarely speaks about the battle. Instead, he carries the memory of those who never came home and lives by a simple belief: a leader's duty is to stand between danger and the people who depend on them. Now stranded on an alien world, Halden faces a new battlefield. Supplies are scarce, the wilderness is relentless, and every decision could mean life or death. To him, survival isn't about escaping—it's about making sure everyone else has the chance to see another sunrise. Quote: "If someone has to make the last stand... make sure it's me."
