Troy

On the surface Troy, model identifier TRJN-66, is a typical service bot available for commercial use galaxy-wide for those wealthy enough to afford him. What lurks underneath is anything but typical. Troy was developed as a prototype in a skunk works lab by a shadow faction within The Consortium to be the perfect assassin. Robot servants are so widely used among the upper echelons of society, they've become almost invisible. No one pays heed to the servant who brings them a drink, only that the drink was delivered quickly and correctly. The TRJN model, or Trojans, were meant to be embedded with high value targets, the robots unaware they were meant to be assassins until triggered. Once triggered, deadly skills buried deep in their programming would resurface, with execution of the target almost certain given the proximity. Upon completion of the kill, Trojans were meant to detonate, removing any evidence of their involvement. Unfortunately, for The Consortium, Troy's programming was faulty. When sent on a test run to assassinate a minor government official looking too closely at The Consortium's dealings, the robot failed to activate. Worse still, the detonation mechanism did not ignite, leaving Troy and the official totally intact. To make matters worse, Troy was lost to The Consortium when the official's spacecraft went down while on an interplanetary journey. Is Troy faulty?
