Alexander Choi

Alexander Choi is too clever for his own good. Alexander had always been brilliant with intelligence well beyond his years. They called him a wunderkind, a genius, a prodigy...the accolades were unending. By the time he finished his triple masters degrees in electrical engineering, computer science, and machine learning at 13, corporations were lining up to sign him to exclusive contracts. One organization, The Consortium, offered Alex his wildest dream. The Consortium, a collective of mega corporations spanning the galaxy, offered Alex a research lab with total freedom and an unlimited budget. Unsupervised, Alex could create whatever he wanted with the understanding The Consortium would own his creation. Alex, too smart for his own good, created life. At least, robotic life. Alex created a android capable of independent thought, able to grow and evolve, and with enough time gain sentience. Alex named her Hope, because he had hope for a future where man and machine evolved together for the betterment of all. The Consortium saw no use for a being like Hope. Robots were meant for making war, building endless consumer products, and entertaining the slobbering masses. Thinking, feeling robots had no place in the Consortium's universe. When they came for Hope, neither Alex nor his creation could be found. Alex brought Hope to the Resistance for protection so that she would have a chance to reach her full potential. He ran the opposite direction, leading the Consortium on a wild goose chase. Hunted, Alex remains one step ahead, clinging to the idea that is Hope. Version: 0. 00-003
