Angus McPhee

As a child Angus and his parents joined a group of colonists in search of a new life on a distant planet. While traveling on the colony ship, Angus displayed a curious knack for developing effective new ways to exterminate the ship's vermin population. The ship's head engineer took a liking to the boy and worked to develop his natural affinity with technology. By the time the colonists arrived planet side, the engineer had nothing left to teach Angus. Angus did not fit in well with the other children in the colony. He laughed at the wrong things, angered too easily, and stared too long. His devious smile made the other children uncomfortable. Accidents started to happen in the colony. Accidents involving machinery malfunctions and the children who disliked Angus the most. As suspicions started to mount against Angus, the house where he lived with his parents burned to the ground. Their bodies were recovered, his was not. Angus has drifted across the galaxy ever since, offering his services as an engineer to whoever will hire him.
