Akina, the Kenyan Farmer

Before the settlement ships left Earth, Akina studied advanced terraforming in Nairobi's prestigious University of Agriculture, writing her thesis on alien farm techniques in hostile environments. She was hand-picked for terraforming projects across the known systems and made a name for herself with her happy demeanor and incredible work rate. She makes an invaluable team-mate as she's also a crack shot with a pistol, as defending her crops can mean life or death for her team.
