Scion Origin Expanded

Scion Origin Expanded The Scion origin has always been one of my favourite origins in Stellaris, but I felt it needed a little more depth and interaction. This mod is not intended to be a complete overhaul - instead, it expands upon the vanilla Scion experience while remaining lore-friendly and true to the feel of the base game. I also felt that the original Scion origin artwork did not fully capture the relationship between the Scion and their Fallen Empire benefactors. The original image felt somewhat oppressive, implying a far more hostile vassal relationship than what is actually presented in-game. The Fallen Empire overlord often behaves more like a parent guiding a young civilization toward maturity - albeit in their own distant and often arrogant way. Because of this, the mod includes new custom artwork designed to better reflect that dynamic. Features: Improved balancing by adding early game debuff modifiers to make the origin feel slightly more balanced. New peaceful method of requesting independence from your Fallen Empire overlord Expanded Fallen Empire gifts, including a more powerful mid/late-game fleet and the chance to receive advanced dark matter technology Additional story events, dialogue, and lore interactions to make the origin feel more immersive and the Fallen Empire overlord less passive Added new dialogue and rewards for bringing additional civilizations into the fold Added new awakening dialogue for Fallen Empire overlords, with unique text based on both their ethic and the reason for their awakening Compatibility ✅ Should be compatible with all other mods - provided they do not directly modify the Scion origin or related Fallen Empire events. ⚠️ Kind of save-game compatible - requires a new game for all the new stuff, but you should still get the new dialog popups ⚠️ Not achievement compatible In the works Currently investigating an event chain involving the fallen empire overlord Artwork Disclaimer The new custom artwork used for the Scion
