📋 About This Mod
For Stellaris 4.*.* - English only - Not Ironman Compatible Realistic War Exhaustion is a mod that adds certain challenges to empires with high War Exhaustion (100%) to simulate a realistic economic decline in such scenarios. Depending on your choices, ethos, and policies, you can be affected either mildly or severely to the point of long-term economic damage. If you're struggling with maintaining your WE and economy, this mod might be too difficult for you. On the upside, everything that this mod adds also applies to NPC empires, meaning that, based on their choices, they might reach the severe effects far sooner or later than you do, giving you the possibility to force your enemies into an economic crisis and have an easy time conquering them if you play it right. Overall, this mod encourages smarter strategies in war, since defeats and failed invasions can be very costly on your WE and bring you closer to the negative Situation chain. War Exhaustion from killed Armies has also been doubled. NOTE: Only regular, non-Gestalt empires are affected by the Situation chain at the moment. I will look into making a special one for other types of empires in the future. The Situation also does not apply to Total Wars. Features: - New Situation: This Situation will trigger when you reach 100% War Exhaustion in any one of your wars, and will persist as long as you're at war with 100% WE. It has a total of 5 stages which feature various levels of negative modifiers to your empire, from mild effects to severe declines that can threaten your future gameplay if you're not careful. If the Situation reaches its end, you will be given a 20 year negative modifier that will persist even during peacetime, weakening your economy and possibly causing other empires to find you a prime target for conquest. This can be averted by ending the war before that point is reached, as the Situation immediately terminates and its temporary modifiers are nullified. The Situation usually finishes after
