Ammonia-based life 氨基生物

Slime Amino based life, based on ammonia, establishes corresponding systems for a series of complex compounds. In 1954, a British scientist named Haldane, during a symposium discussing the origin of life, proposed that the solvent used by our human life form, water, could be replaced by liquid ammonia in certain life forms. One of the reasons he proposed is that some of the characteristics of water are similar to ammonia, such as the formation of methanol (CH3OH) based on water, and the formation of methylamine (CH3NH2) based on ammonia. Methanol and methylamine are two similar compounds. Therefore, amino life is actually proposed in response to our "water based life" using water as a solvent, regardless of whether the life skeleton is carbon (i.e. carbon based life).
