Gender Fix (3.2.2)

While the human species was fully implemented with the new gender toggle, the rest of the species seem to only be half implemented. When playing as any other species your pops as well as species portraits in the template screen are still random and do not obey the gender flag like humans do. This mod fixes those issues allowing for other species to function like humans. Selecting male will make all of your pops, leaders, rulers and species templates have male portraits. Selecting female will have all of your pops, leaders, rulers and species templates have female portraits. When selecting indeterminable either portrait can be used (at random). Currently this mod is only implemented for humanoids (recently updated to include all of the species from the humanoid species pack DLC). Since every species requires a fix to its associated file it may be awhile before I fix all of them, if I ever do. If you have a specific species in mind that you would like for me to focus on please let me know so that I can make it more of a priority. I should also note that I do not know of a way to deterministically choose the default portrait (the one that shows up in the game menu when you select your species). The game seems to only allow you to have one default value and typically for most species that is male. If anyone knows of a way to add a trigger to the default value feel free to let me know. That said, for the time being I have decided to only change human_05's default, which I have set to female. I tend to play with the Elves a lot and typically have them as matriarchal. Besides, their portrait has been male for long enough ;)
