Defense Fortress

-What does this mod do?- This mod simply adds back higher tire Defense Platforms: Defense Station and Defense Fortress. Useful Stations was one of my favorite mod. It adds back the defense station and defense fortress that were removed after 2. 0. Unfortunately, the original authors have not updated it for a long time. Therefore, I decided to re-upload it and adapt it to the newest version. Considering that vanilla scripts for defense station and defense fortress already exist in the game, but they need to be overwritten to activate them, so I created a separate script sheet to maximize the compatibility. I did not add the Bulwark and Citadel from the original mod, instead, I slightly increased the durability of defensive stations and defensive fortresses. Because I feel Bulwark and Citadel are a bit redundant, and the defense fortress is completely sufficient. -How to unlock them?- Same as the original version, all you have to do is to research their technologies: - Deep Space Defenses 2: Station (require Tier 2 starbase technology) - Deep Space Defenses 3: Fortress (require Tier 3 starbase technology and the previous one) -Recommendation- If you are also unsatisfied with the vanilla iron cannon, this mod can enhance it: Ion Cannon Rebalance . This mod also allows you to build a lesser class of iron cannon, with X slot instead of T slot. -Additional information- The original game already contains the defense station and defensive fortress models and textures of most ship packs. I just adapted them directly. However, the new released species packs (Necroid, Lithoid, etc.) do not contain addtional defense station models.
