Simple Camera

Description

Simple Camera is an easy way to adjust the camera position and FOV for idle, traversal, and combat. Includes 26 settings, intentionally kept minimal to keep configuration quick and easy. Supports unlimited presets, and the active presets name appears in the in-game HUD for a few seconds after cycling. Presets can be tuned in-game.

It makes reframing adjustments to the camera for wall runs, moving objects, and ledge climbs for better visibility then returns to your preset. These changes are non-intrusive to your preset it reconfigures specific settings into an optimal range temporarily. Also it lets the game take over the camera for hypertubes, cutscenes, and fall-death, then eases back in.

The combat camera prioritizes fast, low-latency transitions between TPS and lock-on. Regular forward-movement is treated as a single camera state with a speed range, smoothly adjusting the camera from speed 150–1050 rather than switching between separate locomotion states.

Requirements

Stellar Blade UE4SS (v1. 3 or newer)

UE4SS 3. 1. 0-6 and older versions are not supported.

Manual Installation Instructions

1. Install Stellar Blade UE4SS if you do not already have it, this specific version is required.

2. Copy the SimpleCamera folder from this mods . Zip and place it in your `/StellarBlade/SB/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/`.

3. (Recommended) add the following near the top of your mods.txt located in the ue4ss folder [ StellarBlade\SB\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\ ]:

Included Presets

Default: My personal default, similar to my previous mod StellarView.

Distant: Camera with wider view, centered Eve.

Cinematic: Camera with a closer view, similar to the Stellar Blade: Blood Rain trailer.

Editing Presets

You can edit the presets located in [ StellarBlade\SB\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\SimpleCamera\Scripts\Presets ] and tweak them however you prefer. If you're familiar with JiggleControl it is the same implementation as profiles in JC.

Simple Camera supports infinite presets and includes 3 presets, can be customized however you like, you can delete/replace the included presets. These presets are located in the Scripts/Presets folder you can name your preset whatever you want as long as it is .lua and maintains lua formatting. For your preset to register you must add the name of your file to the presets.lua in the Scripts folder.EnableCameraCollision: Enables or disables camera collision with walls.

CameraDepthOffset: Adjusts how near/far the camera is from Eve.

CameraHorizontalOffset: Adjusts how Eve is framed on the horizontal axis.

CameraVerticalOffset: Adjusts how Eve is framed on the vertical axis.

CameraFOV: Adjusts the FOV.

SprintCameraDepthDelta: Modifier of CameraDepthOffset when Eve at speed 1050.

SprintCameraHorizontalDelta: Modifier of CameraHorizontalOffset when Eve is at speed 500 (or above).

SprintCameraVerticalDelta: Modifier of CameraVerticalOffset when Eve is at speed 1050.

SprintCameraFOVDelta: Modifier of CameraFOV when Eve is at speed 1050.

(Delta settings are basically addition or subtraction of Camera settings. Whatever you set will be blended smoothly between locomotion states.)

ClimbOffset: These modify the camera while climbing (ladders, ropes, etc)

BeamOffset: These modify the camera while on a beam (balancing beam).

CombatOffset: These modify the camera while in combat.

CombatFOV: Modifies the FOV while in combat.

CombatLock*Offset: These modify the camera while locked on to a target (hard-lock).

TpsFOV: Set the FOV while firing the drone weapon.

EnableHardLockDriftCamera: Enables or disables lateral camera framing while locked on.

HardLockDriftOffset: The amount lateral movement allowed while locked on each side of center.

EnableCombatSoftLockCamera: Experimental feature that allows camera rotation while locked on, currently you cannot change targets.
