Filter and Storage Tank Controller with automatic gas type detection

Control IC for filteration unit. The filter's gas type is detected automatically based on the content of the connected tank. This means that you can use the exact same code for all your filtration units. This controller is optimized to make the filter last long (multiple weeks in our 10x15x3 block sized base).​ The filteration unit only runs when either the waste (aka input) tank reaches an certain pressure for the gas type (2MPa for oxygen, 1MPa for CO2, 500kPa for all others). The storage tank is protected against overpressure: The filter will not start when the tank is above 50MPa. If it reaches 58 MPa, the safety pump will be activated. The configuration is super simple: Specify the filter, the storage tank behind it, a waste tank and the safety volume pump. d0 : The storage tank, connected to the filter's output d1 : The filtration unit d2 : Safety volume pump, attached between the filter and the storage tank d3 : Waste Tank (or Pipe Analyzer), connected to the filter's input Important: The IC detects the gase type based on the content of the storage tank. Therefore it should contain a minimal amount of the desired gas type BEFORE activating the IC.
