This is my take on an IC for the Hardsuit. It monitors the outside temperature and pressure and will automatically close and lock your helmet if the conditions are non-hospitable. It will unlock your helmet but not open it when you are in an environment where the pressure and temperature are good for survival. The reason for this is that there is currently no way to check the environments gas composition, so pollutants, nitrous oxide and low oxygen are still threats to your life. The integrated tracker works as follows: -The base coordinates are set to where you insert the chip into your suit. -By standard settings the suit will keep the internal pressure at 30kpa when you're within 50meter of these coordinates. -If you leave the "base radius" the pressure will slowly rise to a maximum of 530kpa depending on your distance from your base, so when you want to get back you just need to go in the direction in which the pressure is going down. -The way the code is written means that it will work no matter how far the distance is that you are from your base. The main drawback of this method is that the AC will have to work harder to keep the internal suit temperature at the setting you choose. This shouldn't be that bad on the Moon and Mars but on Europa the additional load will probably deplete your batteries quite a bit faster.
