First Person Mode

First Person Mode puts you behind your survivor's eyes. Press F3 to switch between first person and the normal third-person camera at any time.

- F3: switch first person / third person

What works in first person

- Walking, sprinting, crouching, climbing, vaulting and ladders

- Aiming with sights and scopes

- Driving from the driver's seat: steering wheel, hands and dashboard

- Finishing moves and grab kills stay in first person, with no cut to a kill cam

- Your survivor's head, hair and hat are hidden, so nothing blocks the view

Press F3 again and everything is back to the normal third-person camera, kill cams included.

- Vortex: Install From File → pick the zip → Enable → Deploy.

- Manual: unzip and place the `.pak` in a subfolder under

`%LOCALAPPDATA%\StateOfDecay2\Saved\Paks\` (e.g. `...\Saved\Paks\FirstPersonMode\`).

- You start in third person. Press F3 after loading in. If the view goes back to third person (for example after switching survivors), press F3 again.

- Passenger seats use the driver-side view.

- Survivor breakdown scenes still use their normal cinematic camera.

- Solo/host play. Not tested as a client in someone else's co-op session.
