A VERY NON INTRUSIVE MOD:

the whole mod is just an extra folder in your "game" folder and it does not

touch any original game files. so your game will not break at all.

You want to revert changes it's easy, check uninstallation.

The game will be 100% untouched except for the character being replaced.

Install Use vortex! (you should use vortex for this one it is a lot of things to manually uninstall)

Or manually install by extracting the 7zip file to your base state of decay folder.

To Uninstall Use vortex again!

Or manually uninstall by simply deleting the characters folder under game in your base state of decay folder.

The mod adds a new folder to your game folder called characters, it was not there before. so you can safely delete it unless

you have other character mods you don't want to lose, in that case go to the bottom of the page for manual uninstall instructions.

It turns Ed Jones in to "Shirtless Ed Bro".

Ed Jones was just lifting weights and getting swollen when the apocalypse hit!

Since he works out so much he is permanently sweaty in the face and body.

You may also substitute any other hero preferably male character(because of the  voice) in the story mode most are playable in breakdown as well,

I added a txt to the download where you can read about how to do that, again, just easy modifying if you want to do it.

This mod also adds 3 hair colours i have created, to change to another one of my colours you must modify the cdf file with a notepad.

It is not too hard i further explain it in a txt accompanied by the mod when you download it.

Because ed jones does not have hair per say, he has a hat, you might not be able to change his hair colour.

The mod should be compatible with any version of state of decay. including yose but the older one as well.

all this mod does is modify this character by utilising a text file to point the game to different resources and add some custom texture and mtl that are isolated from any game files(so does not interfere with anything in the game but this specific character or another you would choose to substitute with this char).

Manual Uninstallation: go to game/characters/male/human/story_characters and delete

the ed_jones file than navigate to game/characters/male/zombie/body/noshirt02 and delete the files noshirt02customed.mtl, skin_d2ed.dds and skin_ddn2.dds, navigate to game/characters/male/zombie/heads/head02 and remove the files head02humaned.mtl, head_ddnhuman.dds and head_dhumaned.dds, now navigate to game/characters/male/human/heads/ed_jones and delete the head1.mtl file, go to game/characters/male/human/skin/ and delete the skin2_d.dds, than open the variant folder in this place and delete the ms08shirtless.mtl file and it is fully uninstalled no further traces left.

I told you you should have used vortex :P

Technical Details about the mod: Because i could not make the base body in the game work, i had to work around

the whole thing, making a super Frankenstein that in the end looks a lot like a regular character, there is very little wrong with this character, and it took over 14h to make, it should look good enough to not break immersion, please try it before you decide if you want to use it or not if you are interested in this sort of mod.

The mod was made using the body of the "noshirt02" zombie than to make the neck work i needed to take the head of a zombie cut its head off and leave

the neck so you have the back of the neck, than further fixing on the neck by cutting parts of a regular skin and adding it just to cover holes in the neck..

Besides obviously, repainting the skin and removing all zombie traces from the skin, or most.
